Indrasena dubs Congress, TDP as enemies of Telangana region

NALGONDA: State unit president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Nallu Indrasena Reddy has alleged that the Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to form the third front in a bid to oppose the formation of Telangana State. Addressing a public meeting, christened `Telangana Ranabheri’, at the clock tower centre here on Monday he said: "He is roaming around the country to form the third front with an ill intention of opposing the formation of the separate State. He is trying to rope in smaller parties to oppose the bill in the Parliament."

YSR flayed

Dubbing the Congress and TDP as the enemies of the Telangana region, Mr. Reddy clarified that the BJP had to keep quiet on the issue during the NDA regime to prevent the TDP from toppling the Vajpayee Government. He said that the Congress leaders had been using the Telangana issue to serve their personal political interests.

He further fired salvos against its leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao "for happily enjoying the power at Delhi by forgetting the promise he had given to the people of this backward region."

Former national president of the party Bangaru Laxman also alleged that the Congress had done a great injustice to the region with its narrow-minded politics. Earlier, he hoisted the party flag at VT colony. BJP district president Oruganti Ramulu presided over the meeting.
