The workers of Gobichettipalayam immensely pleased over the granting of Gobichettipalayam seat to K.A. Sengottiyan. His followers have all ready started the campaign. The Bhavanisagar constituency workers were slightly upset over the announcement of cadidature of `Sindhu" Ravichandran for their constituency.
The granting of Modakurichi seat to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Minister P.C. Ramasamy was well expected and he was the sitting MLA of the constituency. The Perundurai seat was granted to C. Ponnudurai, the Chairman of the Perundurai Panchayat Union. Sivagami Vincent, who was elected on PMK seat from Dharapuram reserve constituency has joined the AIADMK and was granted seat again in the same constituency.
