VIJAYAWADA: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) and other Left parties may not rock the UPA boat at the Centre at least "immediately." In a chat with The Hindu here on Tuesday, the CPI(M) Parliamentary Party leader, Basudev Acharya, said they were extending support to the Congress-led coalition as they were committed to keeping the "fascist" parties at bay. Asked whether the CPI (M) would withdraw support in view of the Government’s stand on disinvestment in public sector undertakings, including BHEL, Mr. Acharya said: "Not immediately."
