HYDERABAD: Veteran Congress leader and Human Resource Development Minister, Arjun Singh, feels that the emergence of the Third Front will not pose any threat to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre.

Asked whether the proposed Third Front posed a threat to the Government, he said: "I don’t think so". He was having a chat with presspersons after the foundation stone for the new complex of Sundarayya Vignana Kendram was laid here. "That is what is being said (about the Third Front). I don’t see this emerging".

On the alleged assault on the Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad, he said the Centre viewed it seriously. The steps to be taken would be decided on the basis of the Governor’s report, after the Prime Minister returned.
