"This is the victory of good sense", he said adding the misguided youths have understood the futility that insurgency cannot be a viable option for achieving the goal. But, only NLFT’s decision to give up arms would not solve the problem of the state, Sahay told PTI adding that the other insurgent groups should also join the mainstream so that the people of the state could receive the fruits of development. The other banned insurgent outfit - The All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) - should also come overground to join the mainstream and develop the state economically, culturally and democratically, the Governor said. "I earnestly appeal to all the insurgent outfits to shun the path of violence, lay arms, and lead a normal life," he said adding his government and the Centre would always welcome the homecoming of the other insurgents". The Governor, who played a major role in bringing the two outfits into the negotiating table said that it is the coordinated effort by the state and the Central government through which they agreed to come to normal life. He appreciated Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, DGP G.M Srivastav and other police officials for their urge and sincere effort to bring the outfits into the negotiating table.
