BJP seen in its true colours: Congress

NEW DELHI: The Congress on Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party was seen in its true colours at its recent Lucknow meeting. The national council session proved that the party relied upon the politics of hatred and division, party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said.

``The BJP relies upon politics of hatred and division, politics of instigation and provocation and scrupulously preaches what it never intends to practise,’’ Mr. Singhvi said. The meet, he said, exposed the BJP "as a party of contradictions, where its president Rajnath Singh prophesied partition." The party was "on the one hand stoking communal passions and on the other, partition. We hear in the same breath a lecture on minority appeasement and yet the BJP calls upon Muslims to vote for it.’’
