NEW DELHI: Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Wednesday reiterated that he had put his prime ministerial ambition on hold for the time being.
Quizzed by a group of students from Harvard and Wharton Business Schools on his plans for the future, Mr. Prasad said, "I have kept my plan of becoming prime minister pending. What’s the hurry?"
He did not spell out why he had preferred to wait. Drawing peels of laughter, he, however, said, "All of you also want to become editors. But you have to wait. May you all become editors!"
After interacting with the students at the Rail Auditorium here, he also told the media, "A boy from Pakistan asked me - what are your future plans? I told him, `Baal safed ho gaye hain, par abhi to main jawan hoon’ (My hair has become white but I am still young)."
