SP bid to raise phone tapping

NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party members in the Rajya Sabha on Friday attempted to raise the issue of compact discs containing phone conversations of Amar Singh reaching some television channels. Deputy Chairman K. Rahman Khan, however, disallowed it, as there was no prior notice. Jaya Bachchan and Shahid Siddiqui interrupted the zero hour proceedings to draw the Chair’s attention to their demand.
